A Letter to the Communities of San Clemente and Ladera Ranch:
BeachFire has enjoyed the unique privilege of being a part of your neighborhood, supporting your community and serving you and your families. We appreciate being a part of your celebrations and your lives. We have sparked many friendships by providing a place for people to connect and enjoy each other’s company. For that we sincerely thank you.
Over the past few years, BeachFire has been struggling to recover from our sinking economy. We are not alone, many of you have felt the impact at home and see the many struggling or closed businesses around you. As the sole owner, these challenges have taken a huge toll on my already compromised health. I have endured two stress-related heart surgeries within the last year. So I have decided to sell ownership of the current restaurant locations.
BeachFire is not done and as I like to say, we’re just getting started. But things have changed significantly and will continue to change. During the transition, both BeachFire locations will be closed for approximately 30 days starting immediately for remodeling and completion of the ownership sales. I regret the abrupt and sudden closing and know it will undoubtedly create undue hardships for our employees and communities. This has been a difficult decision made with great reflection and thought, along with professional advice and support. The closing allows for the completion of the sales and the necessary remodeling and improvements that will preserve the strength and future of the brand.
Irons in the Fire will continue to operate as is during the ownership transition, so come on in for some great food and drinks.
At this time, I cannot share information about the buyers other than there are separate parties for each location. I have been very thoughtful about to whom I would sell each location. I selected owners that have communicated the desire to serve and support the community, as well as carry on the restaurant’s mission and maintain the staff.
Although I will not be an owner of a current location, I am not done with BeachFire and still hold the trademark and future development rights. I will continue to put my heart and soul into ensuring BeachFire has a smooth and successful transition.
